Did you ever notice when you pick out fabrics or threads the ones you pick up are usually the colors that you are wearing?? Small butter or cream cheese containers are perfect for storing pins.  If you glue some batting to the bottom of the lid it will also serve as a pin cushion. Laundry detergent boxes are perfect for storing quilting magazines.  They are sturdy and usually just the right width to keep them neat and organized. To keep your thimble from coming off your finger, blow into it before you put it on.  The moisture from your hot breath will create a suction and make it stick! One side of the needle has a larger opening than the other.  If you are having trouble threading it turn the needle around and try threading it from the other side.
