New Mexico Quilt Guild

           I went to my first New Mexico Quilt Guild meeting,

with Sue Mullane.

           I had a great time and met lots of new people.    

The speaker was Billie Lauder.

 She was a Hoot and told a bunch of funny stories.

She has moved to Stanley, New Mexico.

The Balloon Quilt in background is the Raffle Quilt this year.

We are all moved in to the new home.

No boxs are left to unpack.

 The couches and love seat have not yet arrived.

 We have a Wine cooler loaded with diet drinks and dark beer

Foyer, living room, entrance to kitchen, and longarm studio.

Quilting /Sewing room.

Spare Bedroom.

For any company that would like to visit.

Dick calls it the Egyptian room as it has mementos from our travels overseas.

My Gammill is up and running!!!!!!!!!!

This is Patrick Mullane.

 The wonderful man that took the time to put my Gammil back together for me.

 He did a great job!!  Nice and level.

Dick has known Patrick and his brothers since 1956.

His wife Sue is also a Quilter.We are having a great time together.

We are planning on going to Quilt Guild Monday evening, The Speaker is Billie Lauder.

This is my new studio. No quilts on the walls yet, but soon there will be.

This is the Kitchen and Dining room.

Just thought you would like to see it.

But I was there with you all in Spirit.

This is the quilt I am currently working on for myself.

I work on these while Dick is getting his chemo.

The pattern is a Crab Apple Hill.

I am hand embroidering with Blacks, Browns, Rust, Greens and Grays.

Using stem/satin stitches

I am also beading with Crystals, and Seed Beads.

I only  have 9 more blocks to embroider.

But the good news is, I have all the center nine patch blocks finished.

Wish me luck.

Oh, we will be moving into our new home on Wednesday the 10th of February.

Walkabout

Nothing to do so here we go a walking.

Albuquerque has many Trailheads and Nature parks

along the Rio Grande river, this was the first one we found.

  Some of the many sculptures that are dotted around the river trails.

Dead tree carvings, like the ones in Tomball.

The coyotes will howl.

We even saw a hot air balloon filling up and flying, and it's not even Balloon Festival Time.

Balloons are quite common here because of the clear skies and fair weather.

We had a great three hour walk.

Dick and Max sleep for hours afterwards.
